After
some months of discussions with the members and officers of Brentwood
Borough Council we have received agreement in principle to develop
a new clubhouse at King George’s .
This we are calling an “Amber Light” to proceed to the
next stage of engaging a design team to work with the club and council
to produce a scheme that will give us the facilities we require
whilst fitting in with aesthetic and logistical requirements of
the council.
We now need to move swiftly ahead and capture the resources we have
within the club to assist with the design process and all subsequent
stages.
If there is anyone involved with the club who can assist in any
way please get in touch with me. We will form a committee to deal
exclusively with the clubhouse development and need people to serve
on that committee and to assist wherever needed.
We have strong support from councillors who have provided invaluable
assistance and who are committed to seeing this project through.
